2. Thanksgiving Day:

Thanksgiving Day is one of the famous festivals celebrated in the United States. The event is celebrated fourth Thrusday in November.  The holiday started when the first English immigrants to America decreed three days of thanksgiving to God for surviving epidemics and obtaining abundant harvests in 26th November 1620. In 1942 the US congress declared the day a holiday. It is celebrated with turkey family and about 45 million turkeys eaten each year.  In New York, parades are organized in the streets to celebrate this feast together.

3. Independence Day

United States celebrates independence day on 4th July each year. It is the declaration day of independence of the British Empire since 1776 and It is a national holiday. People participate in concerts, flea markets, family BBQ’s, and fireworks in a festive atmosphere.

4. Easter Celebration:

Ester celebrated at the end of the holy week as the Spring break. Many cities celebrate the resurrection of Jesus with eggs of different colours, music and dances. families gather early in the morning, dressed in festive springtime attire, and then make their way to church together. After the service, they enjoy a large Easter brunch.. People hold special Easter services with special traditions such as recitation of Easter poems by children.

5. Halloween:

Halloween is one of the most famous holidays in the United States. It is celebrated with lots of fun on 31st october. Children often disguise themselves as different scary characters to make fun. Many communities decorate their houses with pumpkins, skeletons and bats. During the entire day people enjoy together.
